Dr Joanna Nadin is a former government speechwriter and special adviser to the Prime Minister. Since leaving politics, she’s written more than 90 novels for children and adults, including the critically acclaimed The Queen of Bloody Everything, the Sunday Times bestselling Worst Class in the World series, and the Carnegie Medal-nominated Joe All Alone, which is now a BAFTA-winning and Emmy-nominated BBC drama. Having taught on the MAs in Creative Writing and Writing for Young People at Bath Spa University for many years, she is now an Associate Professor at the University of Bristol, specialising in prose fiction.
