Steph is a Bristol-based series producer.
She has produced, directed and edit produced primetime factual series and documentaries in all kinds of genres. History, arts and docudrama are particular passions – as well as anything that has a fantastic story at its heart.
She recently series produced a brand new six part documentary series with Oscar winners Off The Fence. Unearthed: Ancient Murder Mysteries mixes archeology with crime investigation and drama recon, and streams on Sky History in June 2023 (also Curiosity – USA and ZDF – Europe).
She produced and directed ITV’s Visionary Award-nominated Ashley Banjo: Britain in Black and White. This documentary set Twitter alight when Jim Davidson walked out of a confrontational interview with Ashley.
From producing the BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are? and RTS West-nominated Back In Time For School, to directing ITV’s How To Spend It Well At Christmas and various formatted, lifestyle and archive series, Steph is trusted for her editorial skills, friendly versatility and visuality. She has directed dozens of eclectic films for The One Show and twice-led its BBC Wales development teams.
She nurtures production talent, often giving masterclasses and mentoring. She has been a jury member on various factual television awards, most recently for the RTS Postgraduate Documentary Awards.
She also writes and directs fiction – some shortlisted for awards.
Currently, Steph is Series Producer of ITV’s Kate Garraway’s Life Stories with MultiStory Media, where she is also directing an episode.
