What do script editors do? With Jessica Jones
Script editors are an integral part of developing a writer’s initial idea into a truly compelling TV show or film. We speak with Jessica Jones about the role.
Her acting credits include Captain America (Marvel), Anthony Horowitz’s Foyles War (ITV), Stephen Poliakoff’s Dancing on the Edge (BBC/Starz), and Ophelia in Sir Trevor Nunn’s Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead (West End).

Katherine has just completed her first film as Writer/Director (in addition to Actress/Producer) – Help! I’ve Stolen Amy Adams’ Nose!, starring Michael Maloney. Her second as Writer/Director/Actress/Producer, Reaching Four, starring Pippa Haywood and Ben Lamb, and supported by OCD UK, was completed in April 2022.
Producing credits include BFI Network-funded short A Noble Truth; Grierson Award-shortlisted documentary Babies & Bellyboards; and Milk drama short supported by The Samaritans (completed August 2021). Katherine is a member of BFI Network x BAFTA Crew, and a BAFTA and BFI Film Academy Mentor. She is currently being mentored herself by Johnny Fewings, ex-MD of Universal Pictures.
